Use: Medicinal

Category: Wind-damp–dispelling agents / Wind-cold-damp–dispelling agents

Properties: Bitter, acrid; warm.

Channel entry: Liver and kidney channels.

Indications:

Dosage & Method: Oral: 10–15g in decoctions.

Quality: Large reddish-brown pieces that are oily in texture are best.

Product Area: Pinus tabulaeformus: Liáoníng, Jílín, Héběi, Shānxī, Shǎnxī (Shaanxi), Gānsū, Inner Mongolia, Níngxià, Qīnghǎi, Hénán, and Shāndōng. Pinus Massoniana: Hénán, ānhuī, Jiāngsū, Zhèjiāng, Fújiàn, Táiwān, Guǎngdōng, Guǎngxī, Húnán, Húběi, Sìchuān, Guìzhōu, Yúnnán, and Shǎnxī (Shaanxi). Pinus yunnanensis: Yúnnán, Guìzhōu, Sìchuān, and Guǎngxī.
