Use: Medicinal
Properties: Sweet and bitter; warm.
Channel entry: Liver and spleen channels.*
Actions and indications: Relieves cough; transforms phlegm; disperses stasis; and quickens the blood. Treats cough with copious phlegm; taxation damage vomiting of blood (blood ejection); injury from knocks and falls; swollen welling-abscesses (yōng zhǒng); bleeding from external injury.
Dosage and method: Oral: Decoct (3–9g). Topical: Grind and apply mixed or sprinkle on dry.
