Indications:
- Nourishes the heart and quiets the spirit: Vacuity vexation, insomnia, forgetfulness, and profuse dreaming.
- Dispels wind and frees the network vessels: Generalized pain due to blood vacuity; pain from wind-damp impediment.
- Additional uses: A decoction of shǒu wū téng may be used as a wash to treat itching of the skin.
Dosage & Method: Oral: 10–30g in decoctions; also used externally.
Quality: Thick stems with a purplish brown bark are the best.
Product Area: Hénán, Húběi, Húnán, Jiāngsū, Zhèjiāng.
