Use: Medicinal

Properties: Sweet and slightly bitter; cool.

Actions and indications: Resolves the exterior; clears summerheat; disinhibits dampness; resolves toxin; quickens the blood. Treats common cold; summerheat stroke; heat effusion; cough; painful swollen throat; summerheat-damp diarrhea; dysentery; swollen and suppurating sores; injury from knocks and falls; snake bites.

Dosage and method: Oral: Decoct (15–30 dried, 30–60g fresh) or extract juice. Topical: Apply crushed.

Production area: Fújiàn, Guǎngdōng, Guǎngxī, Yúnnán, Sìchuān, Guìzhōu.
