Snake bite
蛇咬伤 〔蛇咬傷〕shé yǎo shāng
Also venemous snake bite. A bite from a venomous snake. Distinction is made between different types of venom: wind toxin; fire toxin; and wind-fire toxin.
- Wind toxin: The bite wound is small, without exudate and causes, and other signs include difficulty breathing and swallowing.
- Fire toxin: The bite wound is marked by redness, swelling, and burning pain. Other signs include shivering, heat effusion, bleeding of various kinds (nosebleed, vomiting of blood, expectoration of blood, bloody stool, intracranial hemorrhage).
- Wind-fire toxin: Both types of symptom.
