Use: Medicinal

Properties: Acrid; balanced; nontoxic.

Actions and indications: Quickens the blood, stanches bleeding, regulates menses, promotes lactation, disperses swelling, and relieves pain. Treats vomiting of blood (blood ejection); nosebleed (nǜ xuè); flooding and spotting; menstrual irregularities; breast milk stoppage; swollen boils; injury from knocks and falls; bleeding from external injury.

Dosage and method: Oral: Decoct (15–30g). Topical: Apply crushed.
