地毡草 〔地氈草〕 dì zhān cǎo

Use: Medicinal

Properties: Sweet; cold; nontoxic.

Channel entry: Heart, lung, and stomach channels.

Actions and indications: Clears heat and allays thirst; cools the blood and frees strangury. Treats common cold; pulmonary welling-abscesses (fèi yōng); cough; thirst; vomiting of blood (blood ejection); expectoration of blood; strangury; throat moth; clove sores (dīng).

Dosage and method: Oral: Decoct (15–30g fresh). Topical: Apply crushed.
