Actions and indications: Stanches bleeding and quickens the blood. Treats menstrual irregularities; flooding and spotting; expectoration of blood; nosebleed (nǜ xuè); bloody urine; swollen welling-abscesses (yōng zhǒng) and sores.

Dosage and method: Oral: Decoct (9–15g) or prepare as a paste.
