Properties: Acrid; cold.

Actions and indications: Dispels phlegm; clears heat; breaks blood; stanches bleeding; resolves toxin; kills worms. Treats throat moth; throat impediment (hóu bì); malarial disease; acute hepatitis; acute or chronic fright wind; worm accumulation; blood conglomerations; nosebleed (nǜ xuè); blood strangury; swollen sores.

Dosage and method: Oral: Decoct (9–15g). Topical: Apply crushed.
