Ingredients

Indications: Nephrolithiasis (kidney stones).

Method: Grind the huashi, gancao, and xiaoshi; take them infused in a strained decoction of jineijin.

Dosage: Spread one lot over two days.

Rationale: Huá shí and Gān cǎo constitute Liù yī sǎn (六一散 Six-to-One Powder), which is used to treat which is used to treat damp-heat or summerheat-damp. Huá shí percolates dampness, while Gān cǎo counteracts its cold, slippery quality. Xiāo shí disinhibits water and drains heat.

Notes: This is Liù yī sǎn (六一散 Six-to-One Powder) with the addition of Xiāo shí.
