Black Spirit Powder
黑神散 〔黑神散〕 hēi shén sǎn

Ingredients
- Hēi dà dòu (黑大豆 Sojae Semen Atrum, black soybean) (stir-fried) 9–15g
- Shú dì huáng (熟地黄 Rehmanniae Radix Praeparata, cooked rehmannia [root]) 9–15g
- Ròu guì (肉桂 Cinnamomi Cortex, cinnamon bark) 1.5–3g
- Jiāng zhī (姜汁 Zingiberis Rhizomatis Succus, ginger juice) (blast-fried) 3–6g
- Dāng guī wěi (当归尾 Angelicae Sinensis Radicis Extremitas, Chinese angelica [root] tail) (stir-fried with wine) 6–12g
- Pú huáng (蒲黄 Typhae Pollen, typha pollen) (stir-fried) 6–12g
- Chì sháo (赤芍 Paeoniae Radix Rubra, red peony [root]) 6–12g
- Gān cǎo (甘草 Glycyrrhizae Radix, licorice [root]) (mix-fried) 1.5–3g.
NIGEL我把当归改成当归尾,芍药改成赤芍
Actions: Nourishes the blood and dispels stasis; warms the channels and relieves pain.
Indications: Persistent dribbling of lochia and cold pain in the umbilical region;
Method: Decoct with water. (The original book says the powder should be decocted in equal proportions of yellow wine and child's urine.)
