Ingredients

• Sān qī (三七 Notoginseng Radix, notoginseng [root]) (or Dǎng shēn (党参 Codonopsis Radix, codonopsis [root])) 6–12g
• Bái zhú (白朮 Atractylodis Macrocephalae Rhizoma, white atractylodes [root]) 6–12g
• Gān jiāng (干姜 Zingiberis Rhizoma, dried ginger) 3–6g
• Gān cǎo (甘草 Glycyrrhizae Radix, licorice [root]) (mix-fried) 3–6g
• Ròu guì (肉桂 Cinnamomi Cortex, cinnamon bark) 3g
• Fù zǐ (附子 Aconiti Radix Lateralis Praeparata, aconite [accessory root]) 9g.WEIGHTS

Actions: Warms the kidney and spleen.

Indications: Spleen-kidney yáng debilitation with diarrhea with nontransformation of grain and water or daybreak diarrhea, and aversion to cold. Tongue: Pale with white fur. Pulse: Sunken, slow, and vacuous.

Method: Decoct with water.

Notes: This is a variant of Lǐ zhōng wán (理中丸 Center-Rectifying Pill).
