Ingredients
- Zhè bèi mǔ (浙贝母 Fritillariae Thunbergii Bulbus, Zhèjiāng fritillaria [bulb]) 360g
- Zhī mǔ (知母 Anemarrhenae Rhizoma, anemarrhena [root]) 360g
- Huáng qín (黄芩 Scutellariae Radix, scutellaria [root]) 270g
- Sāng bái pí (桑白皮 Mori Cortex, mulberry bark) 240g
- Zhī zǐ (栀子 Gardeniae Fructus, gardenia [fruit]) 240g
- Fú líng (茯苓 Poria , poria) 240g
- Jú hóng (橘红 Citri Reticulatae Pericarpium Rubrum, red tangerine peel) 240g
- Guā lóu zǐ (瓜蒌子 Trichosanthis Semen, trichosanthes seed) 240g
- Zhǐ shí (枳实 Aurantii Fructus Immaturus, unripe bitter orange) 180g
- Wǔ wèi zǐ (五味子 Schisandrae Fructus, schisandra [berry]) 120g
- Gān cǎo (甘草 Glycyrrhizae Radix, licorice [root]) 120g
Actions: Transforms phlegm and clears and moistens; relieves cough and calms panting.
Indications: Cough with sticky yellow phlegm,
Method: Grind to a fine powder and form into 9 gr pills with honey. Nowadays also prepared as a decoction.
Dosage: 1 pill 2–3 times a day with water.
