Ingredients
- Cāng zhú (苍朮 Atractylodis Rhizoma, atractylodes [rhizome]) (stir-fried) 10g
- Chén pí (陈皮 Citri Reticulatae Pericarpium, tangerine peel) 6g
- Hòu pò (厚朴 Magnoliae Officinalis Cortex, officinal magnolia bark) 12g
- Bái zhú (白朮 Atractylodis Macrocephalae Rhizoma, white atractylodes [root]) (stir-fried with earth) 10g
- Tǔ fú líng (土茯苓 Smilacis Glabrae Rhizoma, smooth greenbrier [root]) 12g
- Fú líng (茯苓 Poria , poria) 12g
- Zé xiè (泽泻 Alismatis Rhizoma, alisma [tuber]) 10g
- Huá shí (滑石 Talcum , talcum) 20g
- Gān cǎo (甘草 Glycyrrhizae Radix, licorice [root]) 3g
- Fáng fēng (防风 Saposhnikoviae Radix, saposhnikovia) 10g
- Zhī zǐ (栀子 Gardeniae Fructus, gardenia [fruit]) 6g
- Mù tōng (木通 Akebiae Trifoliatae Caulis, trifoliate akebia) 6g
- Ròu guì (肉桂 Cinnamomi Cortex, cinnamon bark) 1.5g
- Dēng xīn cǎo (灯心草 Junci Medulla, juncus [pith]) 4 bundles
Actions: Clears heat and eliminates dampness; resolves toxin and disperses swelling.
Indications: Girdling fire cinnabar (shingles, herpes zoster) caused by damp-heat sweltering the skin, characterized by burning pain in the skin (usually on the waist line), forming yellow white vessels the size of mung beans or soybeans, surrounded by red areolae, and exuding watery fluid after bursting.
