Source: Jīn Guì Yào Lüè 金匮要略

Ingredients

• Bái zhú (白朮 Atractylodis Macrocephalae Rhizoma, white atractylodes [root]) 9g
• Fù zǐ (附子 Aconiti Radix Lateralis Praeparata, aconite [accessory root]) 9g
• Gān cǎo (甘草 Glycyrrhizae Radix, licorice [root]) 6g
• Shēng jiāng (生姜 Zingiberis Rhizoma Recens, fresh ginger) 9g
• Dà zǎo (大枣 Jujubae Fructus, jujube) 12 pieces

Actions: Fortifies the spleen and dispels dampness.

Indications: guizhifuzitangpatterns in which the exterior has resolved leaving the patient with firm stool and uninhibited urination (normal stool and urine).

Method: Decoct with water.

Notes: This is Guì zhī fù zǐ tāng (桂枝附子汤 Cinnamon Twig and Aconite Decoction) with Bái zhú instead of Guì zhī.
