Ingredients

• Bái zhú (白朮 Atractylodis Macrocephalae Rhizoma, white atractylodes [root])

Actions: Supplements qì and fortifies the spleen.

Indications: Spleen-stomach qì vacuity with fatigue, reduced food intake, withered-yellow facial complexion, shortness of breath, thin sloppy stool, or diarrhea.

Method: Slow-boil to a paste.

Rationale: Bái zhú supplements qì and fortifies the spleen. It is effective for this pattern when used alone.
