Source: Shāng Hán Lùn 伤寒论

Ingredients:

• Fù zǐ (附子 Aconiti Radix Lateralis Praeparata, aconite [accessory root]) (processed) 6–10g
• Rén shēn (人参 Ginseng Radix, ginseng) (or Dǎng shēn (党参 Codonopsis Radix, codonopsis [root])) 3g
• Bái zhú (白朮 Atractylodis Macrocephalae Rhizoma, white atractylodes [root]) 10–12g
• Fú líng (茯苓 Poria , poria) 10–12g
• Bái sháo (白芍 Paeoniae Radix Alba, white peony [root]) 6–12g

Action: Warms yáng and disperses cold; transforms dampness and relieves pain.

Indication: Wind-damp impediment (fēng shī bì) with generalized and joint pain, aversion to cold in the back, and cold limbs. Pulse: Sunken, faint, and weak, or rough and slow.
