Throat-Clearing Diaphragm-Disinhibiting Decoction

Ingredients
- Jīn yín huā (金银花 Lonicerae Flos, lonicera [flower])
- Lián qiào (连翘 Forsythiae Fructus, forsythia [fruit])
- Niú bàng zǐ (牛蒡子 Arctii Fructus, arctium [seed])
- Bò hé (薄荷 Menthae Herba, mint)
- Jīng jiè (荆芥 Schizonepetae Herba, schizonepeta)
- Fáng fēng (防风 Saposhnikoviae Radix, saposhnikovia)
- Jié gěng (桔梗 Platycodonis Radix, platycodon [root])
- Gān cǎo (甘草 Glycyrrhizae Radix, licorice [root])
- Huáng lián (黄连 Coptidis Rhizoma, coptis [root])
- Huáng qín (黄芩 Scutellariae Radix, scutellaria [root])
- Zhī zǐ (栀子 Gardeniae Fructus, gardenia [fruit])
- Xuán míng fěn (玄明粉 Natrii Sulfas Exsiccatus, refined mirabilite)
- Xuán shēn (玄参 Scrophulariae Radix, scrophularia [root])
- Dà huáng (大黄 Rhei Radix et Rhizoma, rhubarb)
Actions: Courses the exterior and resolves toxin; clears heat and disperses swelling.
Indications: Throat welling-abscess (yōng) and throat moth.
