Supplemented Two Matured Ingredients Decoction
加味二陈汤 〔加味二陳湯〕 jiā wèi èr chén tāng

Ingredients
- Bàn xià (半夏 Pinelliae Rhizoma, pinellia [rhizome]) 2.4g
- Chén pí (陈皮 Citri Reticulatae Pericarpium, tangerine peel) 2.4g
- Fú líng (茯苓 Poria , poria) 2.4g
- Gān cǎo (甘草 Glycyrrhizae Radix, licorice [root]) 1.5g
- Huáng qín (黄芩 Scutellariae Radix, scutellaria [root]) 2.4g
- Huáng lián (黄连 Coptidis Rhizoma, coptis [root]) 1.5g
- Bò hé (薄荷 Menthae Herba, mint) 1.5g
- Shēng jiāng (生姜 Zingiberis Rhizoma Recens, fresh ginger) 3 slices
Actions: Clears fire and transforms phlegm; harmonizes the stomach and downbears turbidity.
Indications: Phlegm-fire with incessant ringing in the ears like the sound of cicadas, occasional deafness, dizziness, heavy-headedness, oppressive fullness in the chest and stomach duct, copious phlegm, bitter taste in the mouth, and inhibited urination and difficult defecation. Tongue: Red with slimy yellow fur. Pulse: Stringlike and slippery.
Method: Decoct with water.
