Ingredients

• Shí gāo (石膏 Gypsum Fibrosum, gypsum)
• Zhī mǔ (知母 Anemarrhenae Rhizoma, anemarrhena [root])
• Shēng dì huáng (生地黄 Rehmanniae Radix Exsiccata seu Recens, dried/fresh rehmannia [root])
• Mài dōng (麦冬 Ophiopogonis Radix, ophiopogon [root])
• Xuán shēn (玄参 Scrophulariae Radix, scrophularia [root])

Actions: Clears heat and cools the blood; nourishes yīn and increases humor.

Indications: Warm heat disease with high fever, vexation and agitation, thirst, maculopapular eruption. Tongue: Red or crimson tongue. Pulse: Rapid.
