Yīn linking (yīn wéi) vessel

阴维脉 〔陰維脈〕 yīn wéi mài

One of the eight extraordinary vessels. Abbreviation: YIL. A vessel whose pathway starts from KI-9 (Guest House, 筑宾 zhú bīn), ascends the medial aspect of the lower limb, enters the smaller abdomen, and ascends through the rib-side and chest to the throat. Disease of this vessel includes yīn channel interior signs such as heart pain and stomach pain. See yīn and yáng linking vessels.
