A sore attributed to wind-heat lying depressed in the lung and effusing into the skin. Wind-heat sores start as papules on the limbs and chest and rib-side, which when scratched cause sores that exude fresh blood.
Biomedical correspondence: pityriasis rosea.
Medicinal therapy: Treat with Wind-Dispersing Powder (消风散xiāo fēng sǎn) taken orally.
