Transforming turbidity with aroma
芳香化浊 〔芳香化濁〕 fāng xiāng huà zhuó
A method of treatment used to address damp turbidity brewing internally using aromatic dampness-transforming medicinals. Transforming turbidity with aroma is used to treat distension and oppression in the abdomen and stomach duct, with upwelling nausea and desire to vomit, thin sloppy stool, fatigue and lack of strength, and a slimy sensation and sweet taste in the mouth.
Medicinal therapy: Patchouli (Pogostemonis Herba, 藿香 huò xiāng) and eupatorium (Eupatorii Herba, 佩兰 pèi lán) are commonly used. If there is dizziness and distension in the head, a slimy white tongue fur, medicinals such as acorus (Acori Tatarinowii Rhizoma, 石菖蒲 shí chāng pú), fresh lotus leaf (Nelumbinis Folium Recens, 鲜荷叶 xiān hé yè), tangerine peel (Citri Reticulatae Pericarpium, 陈皮 chén pí), pro formula pinellia (Pinellia Rhizoma Praeparatum, 法半夏 fǎ bàn xià)and are ca husk (Arecae Pericarpium, 大腹皮 dà fù pí) may be added.
