Medicinal therapy: When attributable to qì-blood vacuity with blood dispersing with qì, it is treated by supplementing qì and boosting the blood using formulas such as Chinese Angelica Blood-Supplementing Decoction (当归补血汤dāng guī bǔ xuè tāng), Origin-Preserving Decoction (保元汤bǎo yuán tāng), and Astragalus Center-Fortifying Decoction (黄芪建中汤huáng qí jiàn zhōng tāng). When attributable to yīn vacuity with effulgent fire, it is treated by nourishing yīn and clearing heat, using Blood-Cooling Rehmannia Decoction (凉血地黄汤liáng xuè dì huáng tāng).
