Securing essence

Also astringing essence. A method of treatment used to address seminal emission and seminal efflux in vacuity patterns, using essence-securing medicinals such as dragon bone (Mastodi Ossis Fossilia, 龙骨 lóng gǔ), oyster shell (Ostreae Concha, 牡蛎 mǔ lì), Cherokee rose fruit (Rosae Laevigatae Fructus, 金樱子 jīn yīng zǐ), euryale (Euryales Semen, 芡实 qiàn shí), and lotus stamen (Nelumbinis Stamen, 莲须 lián xū), combined with kidney-supplementing medicinals like cuscuta (Cuscutae Semen, 菟丝子 tù sī zǐ), tribulus (Tribuli Fructus, 刺蒺藜 cì jí lí), and cornus (Corni Fructus, 山茱萸 shān zhū yú). A representative essence-securing formula is Golden Lock Essence-Securing Pill (金锁固精丸 jīn suǒ gù jīng wán).
