Three Yellows and Gypsum Decoction ( in which ephedra (Ephedrae Herba,三黄石膏汤 sān huáng shí gāo tāng)麻黄 má huáng) and litsea (Litseae Rhizoma et Radix,豆豉姜 dòu chǐ jiāng) resolve the exterior, while gypsum (Gypsum Fibrosum,石膏 shí gāo), scutellaria (Scutellariae Radix,黄芩 huáng qín), coptis (Coptidis Rhizoma,黄连 huáng lián), and gardenia (Gardeniae Fructus,山栀子 shān zhī zǐ) clear the interior.
