Resolve
解 〔解〕 jiě
To terminate (disease patterns), eliminate (evils), or free (parts of the body from evils). Resolve
appears in the following terms: resolve the exterior (liberate it from an evil): resolve the flesh (liberate them from an evil); resolve toxin (dispel); resolve depression (relieve, dispel).
Etymology
Chinese: 解 jiě consists of a horn 角 jiǎo, a knife 刀 dāo, and a bull 牛 niú. Its original meaning may have been a knife that was made from bovine horn, or the act of separating the horn from the bull. Its meaning in everyday Chinese is that of to separate, untie, liberate, relieve, and dispel.
