Postpartum nontransformation of grain and water

产后完谷不化 〔產後完穀不化〕 chǎn hòu wán gǔ bù huà

Diarrhea with untransformed food in the stool due to spleen-kidney vacuity exacerbated by childbirth or postpartum taxation fatigue.

Medicinal therapy: Warm yáng, fortify the spleen, and remove stasis. Use Engendering Transformation Decoction (生化汤 shēng huà tāng) plus alpinia (Alpiniae Oxyphyllae Fructus, 益智仁 yì zhì rén), amomum (Amomi Fructus, 砂仁 shā rén), nutmeg (Myristicae Semen, 肉豆蔻 ròu dòu kòu), costusroot (Aucklandiae Radix, 木香 mù xiāng), bupleurum (Bupleuri Radix, 柴胡 chái hú), cimicifuga (Cimicifugae Rhizoma, 升麻 shēng má), tangerine peel (Citri Reticulatae Pericarpium, 陈皮 chén pí), and codonopsis (Codonopsis Radix, 党参 dǎng shēn).

Acumoxatherapy: Base treatment mainly on CV, ST, and SP. Select CV-4 (Pass Head, 关元 guān yuán), CV-6 (Sea of Qì, 气海 qì hǎi), ST-25 (Celestial Pivot, 天枢 tiān shū), ST-36 (Leg Three Lǐ, 足三里 zú sān lǐ), BL-20 (Spleen Transport, 脾俞 pí shù), BL-23 (Kidney Transport, 肾俞 shèn shù), and SP-6 (Three Yīn Intersection, 三阴交 sān yīn jiāo); needle with supplementation and add moxa.
