Phlegm-rheum abdominal pain

痰饮腹痛 〔痰飲腹痛〕tán yǐn fù tòng

Abdominal pain attributed to phlegm-rheum and associated with rumbling intestines, diarrhea with the passage of white glossy foamy matter without malodor, dizzy head, heart palpitation, nausea and vomiting, ejection of foamy drool, white putrid tongue fur, and a slippery rapid pulse.

Medicinal therapy: Fortify the spleen and eliminate phlegm with Two Matured Ingredients Decoction (二陈汤 èr chén tāng) plus atractylodes (Atractylodis Rhizoma, 苍朮 cāng zhú) and officinal magnolia bark (Magnoliae Officinalis Cortex, 厚朴 hòu pò).

Acumoxatherapy: Base treatment on back transport points, CV, and ST. Select BL-20 (Spleen Transport, 脾俞 pí shù), ST-36 (Leg Three Lǐ, 足三里 zú sān lǐ), CV-12 (Center Stomach Duct, 中脘 zhōng wǎn), ST-40 (Bountiful Bulge, 丰隆 fēng lóng), and ST-25 (Celestial Pivot, 天枢 tiān shū); needle with even supplementation and drainage.
