Menstrual discharge that is paler than normal in color. Pale menstrual flow is attributable to dual vacuity of qì and blood and spleen-kidney yáng vacuity preventing normal movement and transformation.
Medicinal therapy: Supplement qì and blood to regulate menstruation. Use Eight-Gem Decoction (八珍汤bā zhēn tāng) plus astragalus (Astragali Radix, 黄芪huáng qí), cyperus (Cyperi Rhizoma, 香附子xiāng fù zǐ), and fresh ginger (Zingiberis Rhizoma Recens, 生姜shēng jiāng). Take Six-Ingredient Rehmannia Pill (六味地黄丸liù wèi dì huáng wán) on a regular basis. For severe vacuity, dried ginger (Zingiberis Rhizoma, 干姜gān jiāng) and aconite (Aconiti Radix Lateralis Praeparata, 附子fù zǐ) may also be used.
Acumoxatherapy: Base treatment mainly on back transport points, CV, SP, ST, and KI.
