Gān diarrhea

疳泻 〔疳瀉〕gān xiè

Gān disease with diarrhea. Diarrhea is a common phenomenon in gān disease and is related to morbidity of the stomach and spleen.

Medicinal therapy: Support the spleen and harmonize the stomach. Use formulas devised to take account of the root and tip of the disease, such as Ginseng, Poria, and White Atractylodes Powder (参苓白朮散 shēn líng bái zhú sǎn) varied according to signs.

Acumoxatherapy: Base treatment mainly on SP and ST. Select CV-10 (Lower Stomach Duct, 下脘 xià wǎn), ST-36 (Leg Three Lǐ, 足三里 zú sān lǐ), SP-5 (Shang Hill, 商丘 shāng qiū), Four Creases (四缝 sì fèng), CV-12 (Center Stomach Duct, 中脘 zhōng wǎn), LR-13 (Camphorwood Gate, 章门 zhāng mén), BL-20 (Spleen Transport, 脾俞 pí shù), and BL-21 (Stomach Transport, 胃俞 wèi shù). Needle with supplementation and add moxa.
