Downfall mounting

㿗疝 〔㿗疝〕tuí shàn

From Plain Questions (sù wèn, yīn yáng bié lùn).

1. Swelling of the scrotum. Described in Confucian Filiality (儒门事亲 rú mén shì qīn) as follows: downfall mounting takes the form of a scrotum swollen and pendulous like a dipper, without pain or itching; it arises from being in low places with damp qì.

Medicinal therapy: Use Tangerine Pip Pill (橘核丸 jú hé wán).

Acumoxatherapy: Base treatment mainly on LR, CV, and SP. Select LR-5 (Woodworm Canal, 蠡沟 lǐ gōu), GB-34 (Yáng Mound Spring, 阳陵泉 yáng líng quán), CV-4 (Pass Head, 关元 guān yuán), SP-6 (Three Yīn Intersection, 三阴交 sān yīn jiāo), and LR-12 (Urgent Pulse, 急脉 jí mài); needle with drainage and add moxa.

2. From Elementary questions (sù wèn, mài jiě piān). A condition of abdominal swelling in women.

3. Protrusion of the vagina. Compare slumping mounting.
