Downfall-dribbling mounting

㿗癃疝 〔㿗癃疝〕tuí lóng shàn

A disease mentioned in Plain Questions (素问 sù wèn, mài jiě) as downfall-dribbling mounting with distended skin means that the yīn is exuberant and the vessels are distended and blocked; hence it is called downfall-dribbling mounting. It is usually due to exuberant yīn with congealing cold and inhibited bladder qì transformation. It is associated with distending pain in the smaller abdomen, swelling of the genitals, and urinary stoppage.

Medicinal therapy: Disperse cold, promote qì transformation, and disinhibit water. Use Qì-Abducting Decoction (导气汤 dǎo qì tāng) plus poria (Poria, 茯苓 fú líng), alisma (Alismatis Rhizoma, 泽泻 zé xiè), and cinnamon twig (Cinnamomi Ramulus, 桂枝 guì zhī).
