Downbearing qì

降气 〔降氣〕jiàng qì

Also precipitating qì. A method of treatment used to address counterflow qì ascent manifesting as panting, cough, or hiccup, using medicinals such as perilla seed (Perillae Fructus, 紫苏子 zǐ sū zǐ), inula flower (Inulae Flos, 旋覆花 xuán fù huā), pinellia (Pinelliae Rhizoma, 半夏 bàn xià), clove (Caryophylli Flos, 丁香 dīng xiāng), and hematite (Haematitum, 代赭石 dài zhě shí).
