Use: Medicinal

Properties: Bitter and sweet; balanced.

Actions and indications: Clears the lung, transforms phlegm and relieves cough; quickens the blood; kills worms. Treats cough; vomiting of blood (blood ejection); whooping cough; panting; pulmonary welling-abscesses (fèi yōng); mammary welling-abscesses (rǔ yōng); intestinal wind bloody stool; scant breast milk; amenorrhea; child gān accumulation; roundworm.

Dosage and method: Oral: Decoct (10–30g).
