Properties: Salty; cool; nontoxic*.

Channel entry: Lung, liver, and kidney channels.

Indications:

Moistens yīn and downbears fire; stanches bleeding and disperses stasis.

yīn vacuity heat effusion; taxation damage coughing of blood; vomiting of blood (blood ejection); nosebleed (nǜ xuè); postpartum stasis; blood dizziness; injury from knocks and falls; blood stasis pain.

Dosage & Method: Drink 1–2 cups of fresh warm urine; can also be used in decoction.

Product Description: Urine for medicinal purposes is only taken from healthy individuals (child's urine being considered the best). Only the mid-section of the stream is used, the beginning and end being discarded. This is obtained by setting a pot at a distance from the individual so that only the urine discharged at full-stream is caught.
