Use: Medicinal

Properties: Acrid and bitter; cold; toxic.

Actions and indications: Dispels wind and disperses heat; resolves toxin and kills worms. Treats head wind; dizziness; damp impediment (shī bì) with hypertonicity; red eyes; eye screens; wind lài; swollen clove sores (dīng); heat toxin sores; itchy skin.

Notes: Similar in function to xanthium fruit 苍耳子 but milder (use 15–30g).
