Use: Medicinal

Properties: Bitter*; cold*; highly toxic*.

Actions and indications: Disperses stasis and disperses swelling; calms pain and stanches bleeding; dispels phlegm and frees the orifices. Treats injury from knocks and falls; bone fractures; paraplegia; epilepsy; wind-damp pain; bleeding from external injury.

Dosage and method: Oral: Grind to a powder (0.03–0.06g) or steep in wine. Topical: Apply crushed.
