Use: Medicinal

Properties: Bitter and slightly sweet; cold.

Actions and indications: Clears heat and resolves toxin; quickens the blood and relieves pain; disinhibits water and disperses swelling. Treats injury from knocks and falls; redness and swelling from bone fractures; sores and boils; throat moth; ascites due to cirrhosis of the liver; wind-damp bone pain.*

Dosage and method: Oral: Decoct (3–6g). Topical: Apply crushed.
