Use: Medicinal

Properties: Sweet and slightly bitter*; cold*.

Actions and indications: Enriches yīn and drains fire; quickens the blood and regulates menstruation. Treats taxation heat cough; wind-damp impediment (fēng shī bì) pain; menstrual irregularities; injury from knocks and falls.

Dosage and method: Oral: Decoct (3–9g) or grind to a powder and infuse (1.5–3g).
