Indications:
- Stanches blood with astringency; engenders flesh and relieves pain: Bleeding from incized wounds;
sores that fail to close. - Stanches bleeding: Bloody urine; bloody stool.
- Supplements vacuity and moistens the lung: Lung vacuity enduring cough with blood in the phlegm.
Dosage & Method:
Oral: 3–10g used in pills and powders. Topical: melted in medicinals and oils, enemas, and lozenges.
Warning:
Unsuitable for welling- and flat abscesses prior to rupture or exuding thick pus after rupture.
Notes:
This is a wax secreted by Ericerus pela hosted by plants such as Fraxinus chinensis and Ligustrum lucidum.
