Use: Medicinal

Properties: Bitter*; slightly warm*; slightly toxic*.

Actions and indications: Relieves cough and calms panting; disperses swelling and relieves pain; resolves toxin and disperses binds.* Treats common cold and cough; chronic bronchitis; wheezing and panting; whooping cough; pulmonary tuberculosis; snake bites; toxin swelling of sores; toothache.*

Dosage and method: Oral: Decoct (3–9g) or grind to a powder (0.6–0.9g). Topical: Apply crushed.

Production area: Southern Chinese mainland and Táiwān.
