Indications:
- Supplements the liver and kidney and boosts essence and blood: Essence-blood depletion, manifesting in dizziness, flowery vision, or
premature graying of the hair. - Moistens the intestines:
Intestinal dryness constipation.
Dosage & Method: Oral: 9–15g in decoctions, powders, or pills. It is often stir-fried before use.
Warnings: Contraindicated in patients with sloppy stool.
Quality: Large, clean, plump, black seeds are the best.
Product Area: South East Asia (cultivated), and Sìchuān, Shāndōng, Shānxī, Hénán.
