Actions and indications: Clears heat, cools the blood, and resolves toxin. Treats toxin swelling of welling-abscesses (yōng); scrofula; malign sores; fulminant fire eye (huǒ yǎn); strangury; intestinal wind.

Dosage and method: Oral: Decoct (4.5–9g) or grind to a powder. Topical: Apply crushed or decoct as a wash.
