Actions and indications: Clears heat, cools the blood, disinhibits urine, and resolves toxin. Treats cold damage febrile disease; vexation and thirst; fright wind; tonsillitis; bacillary dysentery; chronic hepatitis; blood strangury; bloody stool; swollen welling-abscesses (yōng zhǒng) and clove sores (dīng).
