Properties: Sweet; cool.

Actions and indications: Nourishes yīn; clears the lung; disinhibits dampness; disperses stasis. Treats dizziness; headache; cough; vomiting of blood (blood ejection); dream emission; dysentery; vaginal discharge; gān accumulation.

Dosage and method: Oral: Decoct (9–15 dried, 30–60 fresh).

Quality: A large bulb and few fine roots is one of good quality.

Production area: Fújiàn, Guǎngdōng, Guǎngxī, Yúnnán.
