Properties: Acrid; balanced.

Channel entry: Lung, large intestine, and liver channels.

Actions and indications: Dispels wind and transforms dampness; stanches bleeding and disperses stasis. Treats dysentery; diarrhea; vomiting of blood (blood ejection); expectoration of blood; bloody stool; amenorrhea; gān accumulation; cough; panting; wind-damp pain; injury from knocks and falls.

Dosage and method: Oral: Decoct (10–30g). Topical: Decoct as a wash.

Production area: South of the Yangtze.
