Properties: Bitter^✽; cool.^✽

Actions and indications: Clears heat and disinhibits the orifices; disperses stasis and stanches bleeding. Treats vomiting of blood (blood ejection); blood strangury; welling-abscesses (yōng) toxin; injury from knocks and falls; scalds.

Dosage and method: Oral: Decoct (9–15g) or steep in wine. Topical: Apply crushed or powdered.
