Use: Medicinal

Properties: Acrid and astringent; hot.

Actions and indications: Dispels wind-damp, soothes the sinew and network vessels, and stanches bleeding. Treats wind-damp impediment (fēng shī bì) pain; injury from knocks and falls; bleeding from knife wounds.

Dosage and method: Oral: Powder (1–3g) or steep in wine. Topical: Grind to powder and sprinkle on affected area.
