Actions and indications: Clears heat; disinhibits dampness; transforms phlegm; and softens hardness. Treats thirst; heat vexation; cough and counterflow; chest impediment (xiōng bì); scrofula; phlegm nodes; flooding and spotting; hemorrhoids an fistulas.

Dosage and method: Oral: Decoct (6–12g) or use in powders. Topical: Apply ground and blended with liquid.

Warnings: Do not take orally.
